| Description | Introduction
The most recent reform for adult and supplementary education to be implemented from 2001 includes a variety of expectations as to how the technical and vocational schools could lift their contribution to the fulfillment of the objects of the policy on the labour market and education.
Among the keywords is the expectation of a larger degree of accommodation via a simplified structure and a greater flexibility in the planning of the supplementary educations.
The goal of the project is the development of new ways of learning and IT based learning for participants who wish to develop their qualifications within the business of hydraulics and control technology.
The Project Course
For the pre-testing of participants, multimedia tools will be developed to detect the qualifications and hence also the individual's need for a lift in qualifications. On the basis of this analysis an individual educational course is designed for each participant.
Development and tests of hydraulic multimedia applications that make components in the new ways of learning in the migration from teaching to learning, where the focus of the didactic process is moved from the teacher as a mediator to the student in a charge of his own learning.
The multimedia should be interactive with access to make selections in an electronic compendium of components, diagrams and problems to solve and hence very suitable for self-tuition.
The aim of the project is to investigate the viability of employing VR technology (Virtual Reality) in education. Using VR technology hidden objects can be made visible in a complex hydraulic component.
On request the participants should have access to acquire the theory parts of the curriculum required in Internet based distance learning.
Allowing for the request from participants and enterprises to adapt fixed planned courses, we will try out the potentials of a flexible planning and completion of courses adapted to the timelines and educational needs of each participant, to fit in with the planning of the company.
The new ways of learning and the IT-based education is tested and evaluated via the running of experimental educations.
The project life is 2 years. |
