| Description | The winning project proposed by Net-Mills, ”The Mobile Employee”, or DMM in Danish for ”Den Mobile Medarbejder”, is a solution to relieve the small enterprises of almost all the administrative work in the future thereby enabling them to concentrate on what they are good at, namely their profession. The term "almost all the administrative work" includes the following:
- Preparing and sending invoices to the customers.
- Dunning the customers if they do not pay on time.
- Reordering of items from the wholesaler.
- Payment of bills.
- Calculation and payment of wages.
- Keeping accounts on an ongoing basis.
- Preparation of annual accounts.
All that is required by the smal enterprise is accepting invoices etc. on a web-site similar to those of Net-bank before sending them to the customer.
Either the wholesaler or a separate company will take over the administrative work for the enterprise, and the time used for this is by far less than the time used by the enterprise for those tasks, because:
- they are specialised within this field.
- most of the procedures are automated.
- they can achieve the benefits of economics of scale.
For such a collaboration to happen in practice it should be simple and easy to:
- collect, transmit, receive, approve and process registered data such as consumption of time and items.
- transmit, receive and approve documents such as invoices.
- transmit and receive information.
DMM is an auxiliary tool making it simple and easy to handle all of these challenges, partly by utilizing the new GPRS-datanet for cell phones, and partly by providing an underlying program to process recordings and input, and by communicating with the finance system of the new administrative company.
Adding to this the individual small enterprises will each have their special needs, which is why the DMM is put together by modules, providing each enterprise with the experience of having a tailored auxiliary tool at hand.
