| Description | Project Concept
To create a portal for a virtual advisory service within the agricultural sector.
Project Description
The establishing of a virtual agricultural advisory service providing Danish farmers with an Internet and WAP enabled access to knowledge and know-how within all agricultural branches, - livestock, plant growing as well as organic farming.
In addition the Danish farmer will be offered accounting facilities including book keeping, payment and settlement systems and advise in accounting and economics – on line via the Internet.
Also www.agriworld.dk will offer a line of service facilities from access to public information like field plans for crops, EU relations, HA support etc.
Furthermore a marketplace will be established for trading agricultural products and items, agricultural machinery and other agriculturally related products.
This Mart can be for trades and bargains among farmers, farmers and suppliers or customers for agricultural items.
The portal will also accommodate a chat module for debates and discussions among individual farmers, organisations, politicians etc.
The portal will be designed with a search engine with the possibility for each farmer to set up his ”profile” presenting his focus of interest/professional fields etc.
Mission of the Project
The mission is to add efficiency to the conventional advisory service in order to simplify and rationalize the everyday work for each farmer.
Via advisory service on the Internet advise will be issued on the terms of the farmer entirely – when and where he needs it. Project Applicant: The Agricultural Society of the County of Aalborg
